Celebrating Tiwa Savage at 40; Five Songs That Defined Her Decade

We at Top50charts are dedicating the whole month of February to the Aquarius goddess Tiwa Savage. Tiwa is an embodiment of beauty, charisma, sexiness, everything nice you can think of. The melanin goddess has shown and is still showing the world what she is capable of doing.

Tiwatope Savage clocked forty years old and is still looking twenty-ish years old. I wonder what the secret to her aging backward is. 🙂

She has proven to the world that hard work and persistence have made her stay relevant in the entertainment industry. She is resourceful and blessed with supportive friends, family and most importantly fans.

The music goddess was the first female to win the “BET Best International Act Award” in 2018. Mama Jam Jam as she is also referred to has bagged many endorsements and is recently signed to Universal Music Group.

In a decade, Tiwa has released a total of three accomplished music albums; Once Upon a Time, R.E.D, and Sugarcane. All the albums enlist fire singles.

Furthermore, out of all Tiwa Savage accomplished singles, I will be highlighting 5 songs that defined her decade. As difficult as this may be here are the chosen 5 in no particular order.

KELE KELE LOVE by TIWA SAVAGE

The lead single to her debut album “Once Upon a Time”. Kele Kele simply means small by small in the Yoruba language. The songstress was telling her love interest that she does not want his love if he will be giving it to her small by small. We should all demand Love in full. :). Production credit goes to “Harmony Samuels”.

EMINADO by TIWA SAVAGE ft DON JAZZY

Eminado meaning “Good luck charm” is from her debut album “Once Upon a Time”. Produced by Don Jazzy. The single made it to MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart. It also made it to the Vanguard newspaper as it ranked 10th on their list of top ten hit singles that made 2013.

MY DARLIN by TIWA SAVAGE

My Darlin is on Tiwas’ second studio album “R.E.D”. R.E.D is an acronym for “Romance, Expression, and Dance”. The production credit goes to Don Jazzy and Baby Fresh.

Listening to this single right now while typing is bringing back so many pleasant memories.

BAD by TIWA SAVAGE ft WIZKID

The single did not make it on the R.E.D album but made it on the deluxe album that was released the subsequent year. Starboy and Tiwa savage are really a force to reckon with. Their collaborations are always fire. Like, is there any song both of them have collaborated on that did not bang?. Produced by Spellz.

49-99 by TIWA SAVAGE

Tiwa announced that she was taking a break from music and focusing on other things. On her return, she released 49-99 single which is to be on her anticipated album “The Shift”. The production credit goes to the amazing producer “Pheelz”.

In conclusion, Tiwa Savage has made a great career for her self. As an actress, she is doing great too. DonJazzy founder of “Mavin Records” where she started her career really did a great job molding her and is sure proud of her. I am sure Tiwa Savage is going to do greater things with Universal Music Group in this new decade.

Let me know the songs you think defined Tiwa Savages’ decade.
