Top 50 Charts Throwback: Wandecoal (Longevity, Songs And Collaborations)

Top 50 Charts Throwback is a platform where we pick an artiste who has served major hits and still serving hits. We select some of the songs that moved us the most to show appreciation to their art. The artiste for today is “Wandecoal”.

Wandecoal AKA Black Diamond, for the past ten years, has been dropping nothing but hits. Some fans would even go as far as arguing that he has no bad songs. To cap it all, he sings like an angel. To me, he has one of the best voices in the Nigerian music industry.

From his debut in 2008 till this very moment, Wande has been nothing but phenomenal. His debut album, “Mushin 2 Mo’hits” back in 2009 is regarded as one of the best albums in Nigeria till this very date. A lot of artistes have made statements that the album has inspired their works one way or the other. Wizkid on the release of his “Superstar” album claimed he was inspired by Wnadecoal. Mayorkun who also released his debut album last year also gave credits to Wandecoal.

His “Mushin 2 Mo’Hits” album had hits like, “Taboo”, Bumper to Bumper”, “You Bad”, “Ololufe”, “Se Ope” and many more hits. The album was a golden album. He has songs for every mood you were in. “Se ope” for when you are feeling grateful to God, “You bad” and “Ololufe”, “Kiss Your Hand” to appreciate love. He also had hits for the clubs like “Bumper to Bumper”, “Who Born The Maga” and more.

Also, around 2011 -2012, Wandecoal took a break from music and when he came back, He came back with three bangers. “Been Long You Saw Me”, “Go low” and “Private Trips”.

Fast-forward to 2015, Wandecoal released his debut album, “Wanted”. It had bangers like, “Amorawa”, “My Way”, “Adura”, “Kpono” and many more.

With Hits like this, Wandecoal is definitely going to make a mark in the industry and have future generations singing his songs.
